Come work with us! We're always looking.

As the premier digital assets exchange in Brazil (voted best 3 times in a row by the largest Bitcoin community in Brazil as of 2018-01-16), and the only one operating 24×365 (including on holidays and weekends) — Walltime is growing incredibly fast.

We are currently focused on BRL ⇔ BTC in Brazil but we will soon launch additional cryptocurrencies, fiat currencies and operate in multiple countries. Some interesting statistics:

  • The exchange was launched in September/2016;
  • Walltime transacted 1 million reais for the first time in a month in March/2017;
  • In July/2017 transacted over 1 million reais in a single day;
  • In the December/2017 alone we transacted over 50 million reais.

Walltime is a technology company at heart — launched by a cryptocurrencies technical expert & an experienced technology executive and built by an amazing team — and we strongly believe in doing things right (even when it takes longer and costs more).

We have a deceptively simple user interface hiding a huge level of sophistication and care underneath.

To support this growth while keeping our reputation of excellence we are hiring worldwide.

Current opportunities are in software development (we are a functional programming shop - we do Scheme, Clojure, Javascript, Java & Python), support and operational, finance, administrative roles, accounting, marketing and design. For software developers only fluent English is required (Portuguese knowledge is not needed); for other positions we currently require fluency in Portuguese and also good English skills.

We seek high potential candidates to be part of an excellent team, and we understand that a lot of very capable people under-perform in traditional interviewing processes. An important reference to understand our perspective on hiring: https://sockpuppet.org/blog/2015/03/06/the-hiring-post/

Our team is diverse — we have administrators, aeronautical engineers, system analysts, musicians, computer scientists, lawyers and law students, mechanical engineers, economists and programmers (among other profiles).

Walltime is a distributed company with the majority of employees working fully remotely (with a few occasions per year where we get together). We have people in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Paraná, Distrito Federal, Aachen (Germany), Lisbon (Portugal) and many other places. The minority non-remote staff is based in our headquarters office in the Cambuí neighborhood in Campinas/São Paulo/Brazil.

Every candidate will participate in at least a few objective tests.

We commit to providing clear feedback to all candidates that wish to receive it, and we also endeavor to keep everyone informed of the status of the process during its entire duration.
